Holiday Shopping Made Easy in Paducah's Renaissance Area |
By Jessica Perkins
|
Most are tempted to take that weekend shopping trip to Nashville to gather gifts and ideas for family and friends this holiday season. But why not save on gas and make a trip to Paducah's historic Renaissance Area instead. Paducah's Historic Downtown and the LowerTown Arts District are ramping up to offer the best selection of holiday gifts Paducah has to offer.
From handcrafted items and fine art to quirky, last minute gift options, Paducah's Renaissance Area is sure to have something for everyone on your shopping list.

Downtown shops will host their annual Downtown Holiday Open House on Saturday, November 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be prizes offered throughout the day at the WDDJ 96.9 FM van, located at 4th and Broadway from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. that day. Stop by and pick up a complete list of businesses in the Renaissance Area.
Check out a few of the new items in Paducah's historic downtown and LowerTown Arts District including personalized Christmas Cards and Mixed Bag Designs at Miracle Prints, located at 628 Broadway. Mixed Bag Designs are personalized totes made from recycled materials. Each bag holds up to 50 pounds of goodies and comes in a variety of sizes.
Hooper's Outdoor Center, 219 Broadway, has a new shipment of North Face clothing and outerwear, as well as Brighton jewelry, charm bracelets, and sunglasses. The Downtown Coffee Bar opens at 426 Broadway, and is now carrying favorite holiday coffees including Holiday Traditions, Kringle Krunch, Snowflake Sundae and Santa's Toddy. Stop in for a cup and warm up today!
Now is the perfect time to purchase fall and Christmas merchandise at discounted prices at The Rose Garden Florist, located at 805 Broadway. Stop in during the Downtown Holiday Open House and receive a gift just for coming in the door.
There is always that person on Santa's shopping list who seems to have everything they need and then some! Why not stop into LowerTown on Saturday, November 13, and find something that no one else has? Surprise those hard-to-buy for people on your list with an unexpected gift - something they would never buy for themselves! Galleries and studios will have their doors open from noon to 8 p.m. Make a day of it, grab a coffee at one of LowerTown's local coffee shops and peruse a variety of gifts, fine art and craft pieces that are sure to please even the pickiest people on Santa's list this year.
Also find information on purchasing LowerTown-Downtown Holiday Gift Cards which can be used at all Renaissance Area businesses. Purchase at least $25 in gift cards now through December 24 and receive a $5 gift card for yourself. For more information please call 270.444.8649.
