Energy Fitness Expands to Help Us Shrink

Energy Fitness is already a great health club. Excellent equipment, lovely staff, super cute trainers, tons of free group classes — what more could we need to slim down and healthy ourselves up, right?

Trainer Anisa Cox (right) inspires Tess Shelby to flex her biceps through weight training and boxing moves. Energy Fitness ensures its trainers are nationally certified and able to customize training programs to meet all workout levels.
Turns out Energy Fitness wants to offer a lot more — 12,000 square feet of more space — filled with the latest equipment and new places to work up a sweat.

The club invites everyone — members and non-members alike — to its big Expansion Grand Opening, set for Monday, July 28.

Here's the festive line-up:
5 p.m. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

5:15 p.m. Food, Fun, Family Entertainment and Prizes

The popular Body Pump classes trim and tone every body part. Energy Fitness Group Exercise program is offered free to members.
Class Demo Schedule
5:30 p.m. JohnnyG Spinning, BodyPump and Three Rivers Martial Arts Demo

6 p.m. Body Jam, Yoga and Three Rivers Martial Arts Demo

6:30 p.m. Body Attack, Teen Cardio and Three Rivers Martial Arts Demo

The grand prize drawings are compliments of Bello Capelli Salon, Biokinetics, Chick-fil-A, City Blends Smoothie Café, Energy Fitness, Roof Brothers, Three Rivers Martial Arts Academy, Wagner Wine & Spirits, Wellsprings Institute and Wine Pro.

New Space; New Services
So what does the new 38,000-sq.-ft. club have to offer? Here's a sneak peek:
  • New Premiere Cardio Equipment, the latest equipment the fitness industry has to offer, taking the club's total to 85+ pieces.
  • Expanded Free Weight Area
  • New Group Fitness Room with all new equipment and more than 40 new and existing classes including BodyPump, Body Jam and Body Attack — led by nationally certified instructors
  • New Spinning area, double in size of the previous one, featuring additional bikes, classes and individual cycle tours with a new projector cycling program
  • Personal Training Studio with the latest equipment
  • Expanded Personal Training Programs customized by nationally certified personal trainers to meet every workout level
  • The addition of iList Paducah sponsor Three Rivers Martial Arts Academy, which moves from its Broadway location to Energy's Livingwell Centre.
  • The addition of the Paducah Gymnastics Academy next door (in the works)
  • City Blends Smoothie Café
  • Life Fitness & Free Motion Circuit Equipment
And, these Energy Fitness favorites remain:
  • Strive 30 Minute Circuit
  • Women's Only Exercise Area
  • Children's Activity Area
  • Childcare
  • Tanning
  • Full Court Basketball
  • Energy Advantage Savings at more than 50 area businesses
  • Silver Sneakers
  • Numerous Membership Choices Including Corporate Membership Program
  • And more!
"We really want people to come to the opening and see how Energy Fitness is expanding to meet everyone's needs," says Manager Sharon Hagan. "Our group exercise classes and our personal trainers make us very unique in this area. If you're looking for personalized attention and some variety in your workouts, our club is for you."

Nelson Shelby works his legs with trainer Thymus Foster.
More Plans in the Works
The club, says owner Jeff James, will continue to grow and expand. Plans are in the works to add yet more children's activities including an interactive gaming room that incorporates exercise.

"We're expanding to accommodate the growth and increased interest in family-oriented sports and fitness," he says. "Fitness and exercise can and should be part of everyone's life in some form or another. At Energy Fitness we are always striving to create the best and most inviting place possible to make that dream happen."
