Rock Your Heart Out: Guitar Hero Contest

Express your inner rock star at the Rock Your Heart Out Guitar Hero contest hosted by the 20/30 Group and Paducah Rotaract! The big competition is set for 5-10 p.m., Saturday, September 6 at the Paducah Riverfront Wilson Stage!

The single elimination contest will pay $750 to the first place winner and $250 to the second place winner, along with trophies and bragging rights! Winners will be based on the game’s scoring.

And, as an added attraction, there's a Groupie Award given to the Rocker who collects the most donations from their Groupies — um, that would be friends and family. The Rocker who raises the highest amount of Groupie donations wins the new Guitar Hero: World Tour Edition, a $200 value! The game arrives October 27.

Admission to watch is free! Rock Your Heart Out concert T-shirts are available for pre-order and at the event for only $10. Food and drinks available, and there's a street dance afterward with the mixing-styles of DJ Chris Tyree of Sound Wave Productions.

Registration (tax deductible, by the way) to compete is $20 — or $30 at the door. For more info, call 527.6156. You gotta be at least 13 to enter. All proceeds benefit the Paducah Heart Walk.

Rock on!
